LUKA'S FAVORITE EGGNOG
Just like Carol makes! Cooking makes it bacteria-free so there's no danger of barfing Santa's!

Combine and set aside:
1 cup Milk
1 cup heavy cream

Whisk just until blended:
12 large egg yolks
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon freshly grated of Ground Nutmeg

Whisk in:
2 cups Milk
2 cups heavy cream

Transfer this mixture to a large, heavy saucepan and place over low heat,
stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes a little thicker than heavy cream.
Do not over heat, or the mixture will curdle.
Remove from heat and immediately stir in the reserved milk and cream.

Chill thoroughly, uncovered, and then stir in:
1 1/2 cups Brandy, Dark Rum or Bourbon.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or up to three days,
Serve sprinkled with Ground Nutmeg.

For Non-alcoholic version: Replace the alcohol with 2 tablespoons Vanilla.
